If your dog barks and lunges at people or dogs on leash, we recommend booking a private training session prior to starting classes as reactivity is something you want to address as soon as possible in young dogs to avoid it becoming a lifelong issue.

Level One
Obedience

$168 + GST

Tuesdays, October 27th - November 24th | 5:45pm - 6:45pm

Sir John Franklin Community Centre

This class is best suited for dogs who have graduated from puppy manners class, or dogs over 1 year old who have never taken a class before.

Topics covered include, but are not limited to position changes with longevity (ie. sit, down, stand, release), leash manners and impulse control. If your dog barks and lunges at other dogs or people on leash, we may recommend they take a reactive k9 class prior to joining level one obedience.

If you are unsure if this class is best for you, please email us with a description of the problem behaviour you are dealing with and we can advise you from there!

Level Two Obedience

$168 + GST

This class is designed for dogs who have successfully completed a Basic or Level One Obedience class.

If your dog struggled with the basics, we recommend repeating Level One or taking our Leash Manners class first.

Level Two builds on existing skills with more distractions, distance work, and some off-leash training. Not sure if it's the right fit? Email us with a description of your dog's behaviour, and we'll be happy to help.

Reactive K9
Level One

$200 + GST

Tuesdays, October 27th - November 24th | 7:00pm - 7:45pm

Sir John Franklin Community Centre

&

Thursdays, October 29th - November 26th | 5:45pm - 6:30pm

Sir John Franklin Community Centre

This class is designed for dogs that bark, lunge, or growl at people or other dogs during walks. If your dog only reacts during greetings or when someone comes to the door, private training is a better fit.

The skills taught in this class can also help with reactivity to bikes, vehicles, or wildlife, but these issues are often better addressed through private training.

This class is not recommended for fearful dogs or dogs under one year old. Younger dogs often react due to insecurity or limited socialization, and the class environment may make those behaviours worse. If you're unsure whether this class is right for your dog, email us with a description of the behaviour, and we'll help you choose the best option.

Reactive K9 Level Two

$200 + GST

This class focuses on challenging skills learned in our Reactive K9 Level One Classes by working in different environments weekly.

Please note that taking our Reactive K9 Level One Class or a private training session dedicated to reactivity is a prerequisite for this course.

Out & About Class

$200 + GST

This advanced class is for dogs with a solid obedience foundation who are ready for a new challenge.

You'll practice skills in real-world environments, improve focus and leash manners around distractions, and build your dog's confidence while helping them stay calm and neutral in public.

To join, your dog must be comfortable learning around other dogs and people, have previous class experience, and not bark, lunge, or react on leash. If you're interested, email us so we can ensure this class is the right fit for you and your dog.

Leash Manners

$168 + GST

This class is best suited for dogs who pull on leash and struggle to listen when on walks.

If your dog cannot perform basic commands and has never taken a class before, we recommend taking our puppy manners or level one obedience prior to leash manners class, as your dog should be able to listen to basic commands in one place before trying to apply commands and movement at the same time.

If your dog barks and lunges at people or other dogs on leash, your dog would be better suited to our Reactive K9 class to start.

Sir John Franklin Community Centre

This class is designed for dogs who get a little squirrely when on leash or in new places.

If your dog struggles with listening, focusing, and pulling on leash in distracting environments or out on walks, this class will be perfect! We start from square one finding and creating effective reinforcers for the dogs who snuff treats when excited, build incentive for paying attention to their handler, and reduce handler nagging and frustration.

With fun exercises that will strengthen your partnership with your dog, you can expect to come out of this class with the skills to continue improving your pups manners everywhere you go!
